Mr. White was my history teacher. He was one ofthe first teachers i had who taught me to question "history' and not just believe it as written. My critical thinking skills began with him.

To the children, so sorry for your loss. Mr. White was my friend. We worked across the hall from each other and always had excellent conversations. He always told me to do my best and that I could not save them all.

I came to know Mr. White as a highly-regarded friend during the years I prepared his income tax returns. I will miss his mischievous humor and the deep discussions we would have at his dining table.
My condolences to Tony and all the family. Mr. White was certainly a "gentle giant."

Mr. White was my history teacher at Fifth a Street. He was always pushing his students to excel. You were a role model of what a teacher should be. I will always have fond memories of you. May God continue to bless your family. You made a differences in my liife.

I never had Mr White as a teacher. However that did not stop him from influencing me. He would meet me in the hall and say: "Eddie God wants to do something in your life. I am praying for you." Before I graduated West Point High I surrendered to the ministry. Which was a surprise to a lot of people. He was someone God used in my life more than he knew. Mr. White was at West End Baptist Church when I preached my first sermon over 30 years ago. I have often told this story of how he prayed for me and encouraged me even though I was never formally his responsibility as a student. I am praying for his family. He made a difference in my life.

Grateful to know him
