SHAW, LYNN FLINT Lynn was born August 31, 1954 and expired March 10, 2008. She was preceded in death by grandparents and great grandparents, Max and Marie Hernandez, Prosper and Armantine Flint, Eugenia Hubbard, and Mary Joseph. She leaves her son, Ian Shaw, to mourn her death, her parents, Eddie and Lena Flint, her sisters, Debra Dean (Joseph) and Eddie Reed (David) and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Family and close friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 4015 S. Hampton Road, Dallas, TX 75224, on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. The Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra - HeartStrings Program. I did not personally know Lynn Shaw,but i quietly watched her grow strong in local Dallas politics,and thought she was a strong,smart, and intelligent black woman.Quite the role model i thought.We need so many more like her.

I KNEW LYNN ONLY. SHE WAS THE SPEECH THERAPIST FOR MY AUTISTIC SON, JOHNATHAN. SHE GAVE HIM A MIRACLE. SHE BECAME PREGNANT WITH IAN WHILE WE ATTENDED SESSIONS. SHE WAS, AND STILL IS, A GREAT LADY WHOM I WILL ALWAYS LOVE, REMEMBER, RESPECT, AND ADMIRE. I TRULY BELIEVE THAT SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST PEOPLE THAT I HAVE EVER MET. SHE WILL BE SO MISSED.
