ATWELL, Erma Lou age 87, passed away Friday, July 19 at Friends Care Community in Yellow Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Atwell; parents, James and Mae Conley; sisters, Ruth Myers, Ethel Varney, Grethel Vaughan and Goldie Mae Conley; brothers, James, Woodrow, Paul and Robert Conley. Erma Lou is survived by her son, Tom Atwell and his wife, Clarissa Lassaline; daughter, Susan Schlorman; granddaughters, Alicia Lynn Young and husband, Joseph P. Walsh; Jessica Marie Dettore and husband, John; Kristina Marie Tully and husband, Brad; Meghan Elizabeth Schlorman; great-grandchildren, Kayla Gean Wallenfelsz, Johnny and Jude Dettore, Landon James and Grace Jacqueline Tully; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend, Thelma Compton and loving friends from Evangel Church of God, where Erma Lou was an actively involved member. A Memorial Service will be held at Evangel Church of God, 132 N. Smithville Rd, Dayton, on Monday, July 29 at 12:00 pm . Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Erma Lou's memory be made to Evangel Church of God, Friends Care Community in Yellow Springs or Hospice of Dayton.
