News Death Notice
JOHNSON, Edward age 82 of Germantown, Ohio, went to be with his Lord Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Sycamore Hospital. He was born December 5, 1931 in Middletown, Ohio the son of the late William and Glenna (Wells) Johnson. Edward was formerly employed with Delco for 23 years and retired in 1991 and was a devoted member of the Germantown Church of the Nazarene. He is also an Army veteran who served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He is preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Johnson; son, Douglas Johnson; second wife, Jeannie Johnson and brother-in-law, Will Edwards. Edward is survived by his 2 daughters, Janice M. (Todd) Howard and Teresa L. Johnson (his devoted caregiver); 3 sons, Edward (Diana) Johnson, Daniel (Karrie) Johnson, David (Pam) Johnson; brother, Donald (Emma) Johnson; sister, Wanda Edwards; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Sindie Johnson. Ed enjoyed watching western movies with his grandkids and outdoor activities such as boating, camping, horseback riding and riding his tractor. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family and his humor and outlook on life will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be Friday, March 7, 2014 at 11am at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St. Franklin, OH, with Reverend Kelly Johnston officiating. Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery with military honors.
