News Death Notice
KING, Shirley J. Age 77, of Verona, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton, following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Edith Schrader; by a brother, Sonny Schrader; sister, Enid Schrader and by an infant son, Joseph King. Shirley was a 4H advisor for many years, a long time member of Verona United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed sewing and baking cookies. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald King; son, Don King & wife Patty; daughter, Margaret "Maggie" Kincer & husband John; grandchildren, Cole Kincer, Faith King & Logan Kincer; sisters, Jackie Sorah & husband Jim, Martha Marcum & husband Ted; brother, John Schrader & wife Linda and numerous other relatives and many special friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Fri. Dec. 6 at the Verona United Methodist Church, with Pastor Leo Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Brookville. Viewing will also be held at the church in Verona, 4-7 PM Thursday. Arrangements entrusted to GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE. Don and family. I am so sorry for the loss of Shirley. She was such a caring and wonderful person. She will be greatly missed. I know words can't express the loss or hurt your feeling.
