News Death Notice
JONES, Helen M. 94 of Dayton, departed this life, Monday, December 17, 2013. She was born February 27, 1919 in Muncie, Indiana. Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Springfield High School and Wilberforce University. She was a retired school teacher, employed by the Dayton Public Schools. Mrs. Jones was a charter member of the Les Femmes des Charities. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Gwendolyn Jones and Sheila (Roberttete) James, a brother Roger Clark, a sister Wilma Bondurant, a daughter-in-law, Lylh Jones, two sisters-in-law two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cratie Jones and her son, Christopher F. Jones. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dayton Hospice Center. Visitation for Mrs. Jones will be Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 10:00 to 10:30 A.M. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home, Springfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home with Bishop Edgar Posey, officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield.

Words cannot explain the loss of a mother. Please accept that you have been a deep friend for 33 years since meeting you in Chicago.Know that heaven has no hardache. May the Creator bless you , Sister Gwen and your family. We loved your Mom, a special person in our lives. Your dear friends.
