ARNETT, Sr., James Russell age 85 formerly of Centerville passed away Wed. Jan. 23, 2013 in Richmond, IN. A WWII Army veteran, he retired from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Jointers of America after 35 years of service. He was also a member of Bible Baptist Church in Wilmington. He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel in 2004, one daughter Deborah Arnett, one grandson Kevin Arnett, and his mother Celia Alsept-Montgomery. He is survived by five children Barbara (Glenn) Strickland, James Jr. (Daina) Arnett, Connie (H.G.) Crawford, Penny (Daniel) Smith, and Jerry (Mary Jo) Arnett; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one sister Haney Etta (Paul) Burris. Funeral services 1 PM Sat. Jan. 26 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Pastor Daniel Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM Sat. at the funeral home.
