Donald HARDWICK Obituary


News Death Notice

HARDWICK, Donald "Ray" age 74 of Dayton, passed away February 15, 2014. He was born February 26, 1939 in Fork Mountain, TN to the late Raleigh and Callie Hardwick. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his siblings: Lawrence Hardwick, Pauline Rogers, Minnie Hall, Judy Kirkpatrick, Dean Hardwick, Marie Hall and Paul Hardwick. Ray is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dora Hardwick; daughter and son-in-law: Claudine Lee (Ronnie) Hall; son, Raymond Scott Hardwick; very best little buddie, grandson, Andy R. Hall; brother, Don Hardwick; sisters: Kaye (Junior) Parks and Faye Sparks; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ray was a truck driver for many years. He was a former employee of Getsinger, Dayton Builders, Union 76 and Overland Trucking. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Home, 209 Roane Street, Oliver Springs, TN, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service, from 11 am- 1 pm.
