News Death Notice

BARNET, Ruth W. age 83, of Centerville, OH passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Ruth graduated from Christiansburg Jackson High School class of 1948 and attended 2 years of Ohio State University. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and the Dayton Art Institute. Ruth was a skilled seamstress and lover of all the arts. She loved to travel and enjoyed vacations in Northern Michigan with family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Barnet; parents Herman and Mary Westerman; and brother, Robert Westerman. Ruth is survived by her son, Chris Barnet and his wife Lisa; daughter, Anne Griffith and her husband, Ed; grandchildren, Taylor, Tracey, Natalie and Bret Barnet; Holly, Luke, and Leah Griffith; and nephews, Jim and Jack Westerman, and Kevin Ryan. Family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Monday, November 11 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main Street, Centerville. A memorial mass will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, November 12 at St. Leonard Chapel, 8100 Clyo Road, Centerville. A committal service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, November 22 at Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to express sincere thanks for the help and support given by the staff of St Leonard San Damiano Residence. Donations in Ruth's name may be made to SICSA, 2612 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45419. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.routsong.com
