News Death Notice

MEYER, Sr. Bobby Lee Age 80, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013, at his residence. He was born September 18, 1932, in Dayton, OH, the son of the late Julius Arnold Meyer and Mildred Stein Meyer Clem. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Elvira A. Meyer; son: Bobby Lee Meyer, Jr.; daughter: Judy Meyer; a grandson: Kenneth Meyer; and brother: Gene Meyer. He is survived by his children: Margie (Ronald Sr.) Thompson; Susan (Jim) Layne and Russell (Julie) Meyer; 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; siblings: Edwin (Margie) Meyer; Richard (Pat) Meyer; Judy Rockwell; Mildred Tobin; Forrest Jr. "Dutch" (Diane) Clem; Dale Clem (Jolanda); Donald Clem and Evelyn Moore; brother-in-law: Tim (Rose) Lake; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and retired from Delco-GM. He also had been previously employed with NCR. Bobby had been a semi-pro golfer, avid fan of the Cleveland Browns; and member of the Xenia Christ Temple. He was a member of the F&AM and the OES. Funeral service will be held 1:30 PM Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Interment will follow at Beavertown Cemetery in Kettering, Ohio.
