MORGAN, Clyde "Stan" 83, of Warren, IN, formerly of Springboro and Kettering OH, area, passed away at 5:15 PM on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN. He was born on September 14, 1929 in Dayton, OH, the son of Clyde Clifton and Mattie (Melton) Morgan. Stan graduated from the Stivers High School Class of 1947. He married Avice Morrison on Sept. 3, 1949 in Dayton, OH. Stan served stateside as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He began serving on the Kettering Ohio Police Department in 1957 and retired as a Captain in 1981. Stan was a volunteer for Hospice and eventually was hired on as a book keeper. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors Include: Wife - Avice (Morrison) Morgan, Warren, IN Daughter - Sheila (Greg) Vogel, Warren, IN Daughter - Sharon (Truman) Burger, Kokomo, IN., Granddaughter - Erin (Robert) Harlan, Andrews, IN Granddaughter - Rachel Niehaus, Springboro, OH Grandson - Mathew Niehaus, Springboro, OH Great Granddaughter - Isabelle Harlan, Andrews, IN. He was preceded in death by: Father - Clyde Clifton Morgan Mother - Mattie (Melton) Morgan Brother - Thomas Carey Morgan A service to celebrate Stan's life will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens 1639 East Lytle Five Points Road. Centerville, OH 45458 at 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 12, 2013 with the Rev. Frances Montgomery officiating.
