News Death Notice

GARRISON, Esther (Millat) Esther (Millat) Garrison with her twin, Ruth, was born to Gustav and Anna Millat on Jan. 16, 1916. Esther died at 97 years old in her home at Bethany Village in Dayton Ohio. Esther married Clay Garrison at a double wedding when her twin sister Ruth married Bill Daniels in 1939. Esther and Clay were world wide travelers and traveled to 59 countries in the world and traveled to every state of our country. They were great ambassadors for our country and were the very first Air Stream Travelers that travelled thru China in the 1970's. Their adventures permitted them to pull their trailers thru China, Australia, England, Europe, Canada, Alaska, Mexico and Central America. They shared their love of our country with all of their foreign hosts. Esther is survived by her brothers Herbert, David and Robert Millat and also her sisters Dorothy Hawley and Anna Beall. She leaves a love legacy of 49 pampered and praised nieces and nephews that will miss her loving nature. We are all blessed to have this beautiful lady of goodness in our lives for all these 97 years. Funeral services will be held at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. on Thursday August 22. 2013 at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Children were such a great part of Esther's life and she would be pleased for any contributions to her memory to be directed to Dayton Children's Hospital in Dayton Ohio.
