SANDERS, Rodney Earl 54 went to a precious reunion with his God, family and friends who went before him on both sides. He lost his battle with lung cancer after 1 1/2 years. He was born on July 5, 1964, the son of Charles and Marcy Sanders. Rodney was a 1983 graduate from Northeastern High School. Rodney had been employed with AT&T since 2001. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Columbus. In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars and computers. He was preceded in death by many family members and his fur buddy Gizmo. Survivors include his parents; children Amanda (Jeremy) Plantz, Marcelline Abby (Derrick) Pearson, Jenni Craig and Ryan Sanders; step children Aaron (Megan) Steinhauer and Mickaela (Jacob) Strohl; brothers Michael (Tina) Sanders and Mark (Beverly) Sanders; sister Cindy Longberry; nine grandchildren; cousin/sister Tresa (David) Detillion; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Services to honor Rodney will be Tuesday at 2:00PM in the Memorial Home with Pastor R.C. McDonald officiating. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial contributions are requested to be given at any Security National Bank C/O Amanda Plantz to help with his son Ryan Sanders care and education. To Rodney's family & friends. I remember sitting on our screened-in porch for several hours talking, laughing & having many giggles. We had snacks etc. We're a cousin of Amy's, & he truly was a nice man! We're sorry for your loss. Tim & Lynda Fahey Bath Twp. Ohio

Well what can I say about pops aka Rodney but he was a great man and good father-in-law to me and a great Grandpa to my and Jennipher's kids. Rip pops u will be missed by all love u pops.

Having a hard time finding the words, Rodney will be missed by so many and touched so many lives. There are so many memories that run through my mind. God bless and many prayers for the family and friends at this time and may you find strength in each other during this sorrow filled time.
