HARDIN, Ronald J. age 91, of Leesburg, FL passed away Friday, August 5, 2005, at Leesburg Regional Hospital. Ronald was born June 29, 1914 in Waynesville, son of the late Thomas and Rose Hardin. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents were: Sister, Virginia Hardin; Brother, Thomas Lansing Hardin; Half-Sister, Thelma Conrad; and Brother-in-Law James McCormick. He is survived by his Wife, Angele; two Step-daughters, Shirley (Bob) Tatum and Jean (Dick) Martino, both of Maryland; Sister, Roma McCormick of Miamisburg; Brother, Tressler Hardin of Waynesville; Nieces, Barbara Hardin of Cincinnati; Debbie (Paul) Voss of Brookville, and Brenda (Tom) Pritchard of Brush Prairie, WA; Nephew, Dr. Thomas (Mary) McCormick of Kalamazoo, MI; two Granddaughters, Sherry Tatum and Angele Juth, both of Colorado; and other relatives and friends. Ronald graduated from Waynesville High School as valedictorian of his class in 1932. He attended Wittenberg College, Miami University and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He was employed by International Harvester Company, Frigidaire, and retired from General Electric in Pennsylvania. As a World War II veteran, he proudly served his country with the Field Artillery in the European Theater of Operations. A memorial service will be held at Waynesville United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 27, at 2:00 PM.
