Thelma A. CHAIN

News Death Notice

CHAIN, Thelma A. 84, of Spring Valley, formerly of Bellbrook, passed away Sunday March 23rd, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born Dec. 22, 1929 in Gary, Indiana to Mary (Hughes) and Cecil Koch. Thelma was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed NASCAR, country music, fishing and anything else that her children enjoyed. Thelma retired from Frigidaire Division of General Motors where she worked as an inspector. She was preceded in death by her former husband Sammie Chain. Thelma is survived by her son, John Chain (Lisa) of Bellbrook, three daughters Vicki Savage of Columbus, Keitha Grome (Mike) of Jamestown, and Becky Jackson (Denny) of Centerville, ten grandchildren Jim, Jason, Jarod, Amy, John Eric, Shanyn, Missy, Mindy, Jodi and Jamie, nineteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and one brother Keith Koch (Vel) of Kettering. The family will receive friends Tuesday March 25th (today) from 6-8 pm at CONNER & KOCH FUNERAL HOME, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). Funeral services 1:00 pm Wednesday at CONNER & KOCH with Pastor Ralph Vencil officiating. Burial in Bellbrook Cemetery.
