News Death Notice

ADEGBILE, Doris May (Goodman) age 79, of Dayton, departed this life and entered into eternity to face her Creator, God and Savior Monday, July 7, 2014 at Miami Valley Hospital. Doris was born April 6, 1935 in Richmond, VA to the late Grover C. Sr. and Eunice (Harris) Goodman. Doris became a Licensed Practical Nurse in Richmond. She retired around 1970, after 18 years of nursing. In 1971 she moved to Dayton, Ohio with her family. It was in Dayton that she cared for and reared her children; she was married 23 years. She loved to garden and care for animals. She also enjoyed tennis, playing into her early seventies. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Doris is survived by her daughters, Lisa Adegbile of Dayton and Titilayo Adegbile (Melvin Bradley) of Douglasville, GA; son, Oluwole Adegbile (Ranice) of Kissimmee, FL; grandchildren, Olarotimi, Mia and Faith Adegbile-Bradley, Jeremiah, Oluremi and Justus Bradley, Ayoka and Ayomiku Adegbile; sister, Jacqueline Hobbs (Wayne); brother, Larry Overton (Sheila); nieces, April Hobbs, Cheri and Jessica Overton; nephews, Wayne Hobbs, Narada Overton; great nieces and nephews, a host of friends and loved ones. Funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, July 14, 2014 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3801 Fairbanks Ave. Pastor Timothy D. Newkirk officiating. Visitation from 9 to 11 am at the church. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am. Final disposition cremation. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N.
