James Frye Obituary
FRYE, James William Age 71, of Middletown, Ohio passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at Arlington Pointe where he had been a patient for a month. He was born July 10, 1947 in Middletown, and lived here all his life. He graduated from Middletown High School Class of 1967. Jim was owner/ operator of Frye's Furniture for many years, and also worked in maintenance at Mound in Miamisburg for 10 years. He was a member of the Poasttown First Church of God. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph and Mary Loretta (Goodwin) Frye; his first wife, Susan Detmer Frye, in 2003; his daughter-in-law, Rebecca Perkins Frye; and his brother and sister-in-law, John and Rebecca Frye. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Frye; two children, Marianne (Kenneth) Frye Bowling and Joseph C. Frye; five grandchildren; Reagan Frye, Cody Bowling, Mikaila Bowling, Nolan Frye and Corey Bowling; step daughter, Candice (Alan) Myers Newkirk; three step grandchildren, Joshua Newkirk, Monica Newkirk and Colby Newkirk; and many extended family and friends. A Memorial Service for Jim will be Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Poasttown First Church of God, 6376 Middletown-Germantown Road, Middletown, Ohio 45042 (Madison Township), with Rev. Kevin Beck and Rev. James Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Ohio. After the burial, a Celebration of Life Dinner will be in the fellowship hall at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Poasttown First Church of God or to Agape Church in Germantown, Ohio. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.
