Kenneth Hauprich Obituary

Family-Placed Obituary

HAUPRICH Jr., Senior Airman Kenneth Paul April 10, 1985 -- Nov. 8, 2007 Age 22. Beloved husband, father, son, brother and a true friend. Kenny died while having a great time flying. He was doing what he wanted to do his entire life and that was to follow in his father's and mother's footsteps and serve this great country as an Airman in the United States Air Force. As with all his endeavors Kenny was a steller Airman! Kenny was a 2004 graduate of Greeneview High School where he loved to be with all his friends. During those years there he played football, wrestled, sang in the choir and loved being in plays. Kenny's smile, bright blue eyes and sparkling personality made it hard not to instantly like him. He had a way to make the room light up when he was around. Even when he got into trouble and was sent to his room he would never stay in it because he hated for someone to be mad or upset at him. His favorite saying was "Remember that I am the good one". Kenny always gave 150% of himself in everything that he did, whether it was him wrestling as one of the smallest one on the team to practicing with the heavy weights. This motivation carried over to everything he did from making employee of the month the second month he worked at Wendy's, or making Senior Airman below zone. He had a zest for life that was impeccable! He had dreams that someday he would play football and that he did: not only did he play on the Junior high football team where he did get to shine. Kenny was small in size and didn't get much playing time but he put his heart into every practice where he gave the star players the practice they needed. It was not unusual to see Kenny run out on the field just to get the kicking tee. Kenny left to go into the Air Force and not only did he become a man but he did grow to over 6 feet tall. He was stationed at Aviano AB where they saw him as an awesome athlete. His nick name was "Gazelle" because he was so quick. He played for the NFL Italy team where he was the starting receiver. You did it Bud and we are so proud of you. Kenny leaves behind a loving wife Kara (Dysart), a daughter Emma Grace, born August 3, 2007, his parents Kenneth (MSgt USAF Retired) and Lorri Hauprich of Jamestown. His twin sister Senior Airman Elizabeth Hauprich of Ellsworth AFB, SD, his younger sister Airman First Class Christina Hauprich of Brooks City Base, TX, brother Ronald Hauprich of Jamestown. Grandparents Donald and Mary Jean Hauprich of Albany, NY, Janice Duncan of Duluth, MN, mother and father-in-law Barb and Virgil Jones of Bloomingburg, OH, nephew Joseph and many aunts, uncles and cousins that loved and will miss him so very dearly. Kenny was preceded in death by his Grandfather Ronald Duncan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at WPAFB Chapel #3, 6568 Chapel Lane, Dayton, Ohio 45433 on Tuesday Nov. 20, 2007 at 10:30 am. The family will receive friends at Greeneview High School, 4710 Cottonville Rd, Jamestown, Ohio 45335 on Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 from 4 until 8 pm. Memorial contributions made to the Kenny Hauprich Scholarship Fund in care of the Greeneview High School. Burial will be in the Silvercreek Cemetery, Jamestown.

As Kenny's Grandma's doctor, I felt their grief and share your pain at such a terrible loss. I thank God for his Heaven and know we will all be happy together when this dark dream has passed like a storm cloud.

As a military mom I would like to let you know that you are in my prayers and thoughts. Your son gave his all and we are very thankful, not just to him but to all of your family. May God bless all of you and keep you wrapped in His loving arms as you go through the grieving process. Remember all of the fun memories you have of your son.
