Paul Wilhelm Obituary
News Death Notice
WILHELM, Paul Eugene age 89 of Tipp City, Ohio died peacefully at his home on Friday, February 12, 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born October 31, 1920 in Casstown, Ohio to Albert and Nettie (Lisk) Wilhelm. Paul was retired from Ledex Corporation in 1985 and proudly served his country in WW II, 1943 and 1944 until he was wounded in action in Luxumbourg, Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart and was Honorably Discharged from the US Army. Paul married Isabel Eckerly on August 3, 1941, they were married for 60 years until her death on August 14, 2001. Also preceded are his siblings Lucy Wilhelm Thornton, Nancy Wilhelm McDaniel Short, Delbert Wilhelm and Norris Wilhelm. Paul is survived by his children Eugene and his wife Janet Wilhelm, West Carrollton; Carolyn (Wilhelm) and her husband Allen Dark, Cameron, TX; and Marlene (Wilhelm) and her husband Robert Wagner, Tipp City. Grandchildren Rob and wife Rene' Wagner, Tipp City; Beverly (Wagner) and husband George Stamper, West Milton; Amy (Wilhelm) and husband Bryan Ogletree, Huber Heights; Rebecca Dark, Austin, TX; and Courtney Dark, North Brunswick, NJ. Great grandchildren Madison and Lauren Wagner; Shelby, Kylie, and William Ogletree; and Austin Stahl. A very special thanks to Paul's caregivers Ginny, Rene', Sally, Bettie, Sandy, and Shanna. Also thanks to Hospice of Miami County for their wonderful care. Funeral services 2:00 pm Wednesday February 17, 2010 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 WEST MAIN STREET, TIPP CITY, OHIO 45371. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation starting at 1:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County in Paul's memory. www.fringsandbayliff.com
