News Death Notice

LOGES, Richard J. (95), "Mr Fantastic" passed away March 15th in Panama City, Florida. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Madeleine (Landreville). Richard was born in Dayton, Ohio, a graduate of Chaminade High School and the University of Dayton. He served in World War II on the European Front as a second lieutenant. As part of the Greatest Generation, his values were faith, personal responsibility, duty and honor. He was partner of Kramer Brothers Foundry, President of Success Motivation Institute for 25 years and helped change the lives of many people. He was a respected member of the Northridge Optimist Club and Vandalia Toastmasters and a parishioner of St Rita Parish. He moved to Panama City and was an active member at St. Bernadette Parish. Richard was the heart and soul of his family and an inspiration to all. He is survived by his eight children, Rick (Louise), Thomas (Amy), Teresa Quinn (Tom), Madeleine Walker (Dr. Richard), Collette Herbig (Jim), Sandra Wymer (Mike), Philip, Deborah Herman (Scott) and his 26 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by Shirley LeMay who was a dear friend in his later years. A memorial mass will be held at St Bernadette Church on March 18th at 11:00 am. A special thank you to Dr. Richard Walker as well as our dad's other caregivers. A Funeral Mass will be held in Dayton, Ohio at St. Rita Catholic Church date of which is to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to either, St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Panama City or St. Rita Catholic Church, Dayton, OH.
