I was on the Faith and Money Network with dear Bob for a decade. I so admire his tireless efforts to make this world a more welcoming, peaceful, and musical place. I also admired his great love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. As a fellow United Methodist, I honor the work he did as a dedicated lay person. He will be deeply missed by our FMN community...holding all of his family in my prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bob's bright eyes and delightful spirit will remain with me always. He shared so openly at my first Faith and Money retreat and was a group leader on my first trip to Haiti. I don't hear/sing "We Are Marching in the Light of God" without thinking of him!

I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was an amazing man, he did so much good in the world, was a wise man and a good friend and Rotarian. All my love.

Dear Judy, Jim and I are so sorrowed about your loss of Bob.
He was surely among the brightest and the best.
Always something going on in spite of his physical limitations. Wow! What a guy. His contributions wherever he plugged in are major.
Faith and Money Network will not only miss his brilliant minutes, but also his repartee. Never a dull moment.
My practice is to envision our recently departed loved ones with their new bodies. Bob is tall and straight and walking with great strides .
Maybe even marching to some grand celestial tune which is glorious beyond our imagining.
Sending love and blessings,
Betsy and Jim Edmonds

On behalf of all of us at Beyond Borders - Freda, Coleen, David, and myself - we want to express our deepest condolences to Judy and the entire Hadley family. David and I will be on Lagonav Island in Haiti with Freda in a week and we will take a moment to remember Bob and all the good that he made possible in Haiti. Bob's visits to Haiti and the hospitality that he and Judy showed to visitors from Haiti in their home mean more than we can say. Bob truly made the world a better place with his life, his good deeds, and his commitment to justice, and we are enormously grateful for having had the privilege of knowing him. He was a joy to be around, and a person who believed in the fundamental goodness of humankind. Thank you Bob for sharing your life with us. Your spirit will live on with us all.

Our prayers are with the family at this difficult time. We have fond memories of both Judy and Bob Hadley at Christ United Methodist Church in Kettering.
