Rothwell SEXTON Obituary
SEXTON, Rothwell "Stoney" Age 90 of Vandalia passed away on Sunday morning, June 24, 2018. He was born in Domino, Kentucky on July 24, 1927 to William Riley Sexton and Elzira Combs Sexton. In addition to his parents, his sister, Wilda (Sexton) Jeffers preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sally A. (Vellenga) Sexton; four nieces, Darlene (David) Proctor, Donnelle (Gary) Martin, Geniveve (Mike) Barber, Pamela Gondek and their children. He will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and their children. In his early years he lived near Oneida, Tenn. Rothwell served in the Army during WWII. After discharge he moved to Dayton and worked at GHR foundry until 2004 when the foundry closed. He went on to retire from Miami Valley Hospital (finance department). Rothwell was an avid reader, sports fan, and serious walker. A Memorial Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, in the Sanctuary of Westminster Presbyterian Church, 125 Wilkinson St., Dayton, Ohio 45402 where Rothwell was a member for over 50 years. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Rothwell to the church Music Ministry Fund.
