Sandra Kay SCHIMMOLLER Obituary
SCHIMMOLLER, Sandra Kay Age 76 of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 5, 2018. She was born on October 11, 1941 to the late Richard and Mary (Stratton) Thitoff in Delphos, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Thitoff. Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James L. Schimmoller; children: Dennis (Dee) Schimmoller, Kimberly (Dan) Keeton, Darren (Nicole) Schimmoller, and Ann Marie (Shannon) Todd; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers: Dickie (Gerri) Thitoff, Mike Thitoff, and John Thitoff; sisters: Cindy (Bill) Thiebaut and Jane (Jack) Leininger as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra and Jim enjoyed their time as concierges at the Columbus Convention Center. She was a faithful member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, a member of the Northridge Lioness and Mended Hearts. She loved being with her family especially when taking camping trips. Sandra volunteered her time to many organizations in Springfield, including the Springfield Soup Kitchen and Springfield Regional Medical Center. Above all Sandra cherished her family and friends and will be deeply missed by those who knew her. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS LIFE CELEBRATION CENTER from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with her funeral service on Friday, March 9, at 10:30 a.m. also at funeral home. Burial to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Bernard Church or the Springfield Soup Kitchen in Sandra's honor.
