News Death Notice

GOBRAIL, Makram I, MD 68 years, died May 16, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton after a 21- month battle with cancer. He is preceded by the death of both parents and his daughter Christina (killed in 1991). He is survived by his wife of 35 years, BarbaraPflum, MD, and son, Jim (Jenn) here in Dayton. He has a sister and her familyinNew York while his brothers and their families remain in Egypt. He practicedpediatrics in the Dayton areafor 34 years, beginning with the PediatricAssociates of Kettering, then as Director of Pediatrics at St. Elizabeth Medical Center (Franciscan Medical Center of Dayton). When it closed in 2000, he spent a year as a medical missionary. His last years of service were at Cassano Health Center, from which he retired in January 2008. Visitation with the family beginning at 9 AM on Thursday, May 22 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Avenue at Rahn Rd. and the Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Instead of flowers, donations should be made to Centerville Community Church or Hospice of Dayton. Condolences may be sent to tobiasfuneralhome.com.
