BROWN, Forrest C. 99, of Otterbein-Lebanon Retirement Community, Lebanon, OH, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Born July 5, 1913 in Corwin, OH to Charles and Vella (nee: Surface) Brown, he was a 1932 Stivers High School graduate. Formerly of Dayton, OH where he was a member of the Phillipsburg Church for 65+ years and the Brookville F.& A.M. Lodge #596 for 67 years, he retired in 1976 from Sherwin Williams Paint after 37 years of service. Following retirement, he moved to Fountain Hills, AZ where he lived from 1976 to 1999. While in Arizona, he volunteered for Scottsdale Memorial Hospital, the American Red Cross and was the founding member of the Friends of the library. He also was a Posse Rider, member of Square Club and Noon Kiwanis. Preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Alylene, two brothers and one grandson, survivors include sons, F. Nelson Brown (Roberta Cook) of Vandalia, OH and Charles A. Brown (Cathie) of West Milton, OH, daughters, Judith Ann Fetters (Roger) of Laura, OH and Mary Jo Roy (Jim) of Fountain Hills, AZ, 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, October 4th at 2:30 PM at the Otterbein-Lebanon United Methodist Church, 585 N. St. Rt. 741, Lebanon, OH 45036.
