News Death Notice

KERMAN, Earl W. age 97 of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Brookhaven Nursing and Care Center. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late: William H. and Mary E. (Lake) Kerman. Earl was a graduate of Fairview High School class of 1934 and Ohio University class of 1941. He retired from Ledex Inc. as an engineer with more than 30 years of service and later retired from Hobart. He was a longtime member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Dayton where he was the Sunday School superintendent and where he volunteered much of his time as the church go to "Handyman." He is survived by his children: Margaret Ann (James) Robinson of Troy, Kathy (Steve) Myers of Indianapolis, IN, Dr. John Henry (Molly) Kerman of Ft. Mitchell, KY, Linda Jo (Jeff) Jones of Dayton, grandchildren: Andrew and Christopher Robinson, Peter (Brianna), Alex and Andrew Kerman, Sandra and Michael Jones, great grandchildren: Asher and Viviana Kerman, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 68 years: Mary Josephine (Smith) and brothers: George and James Kerman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Reverend Barbara Weichel officiating. Interment will follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
