News Death Notice

BLEVINS, Billy Ray age 84, of Miamisburg, passed peacefully on March 21, 2014. Billy was born January 6, 1930 to the late Bill and Lennie (Estep) Blevins in Benedict, VA. He retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years, having served in Germany, Italy and Korea. He was one of the Chosen Few. Billy owned Blevins Exon and Blevins Towing Service for many years. Memberships included Miamisburg Minerva Lodge F&AM. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers Tommy and Charlie. Billy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gertrude, children, Bill (Angie), Jim (Shirley), Tom (Gina), Steve (Delan) and Cindy (Dave) Bolden, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister, Faye (Freddie) Fox, sisters-in-law, Barbara Butts, Betty Reynolds and many other family and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Sanner Funeral Home, 800 So. Alex Rd., West Carrollton, OH 45449 with Rev. Peter Layton officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to services (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758518, Topeka, KS 66675 in Billy's memory.
