News Death Notice

PETRUSCH, Raymond Stanley age 71, of Riverside, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at Miami Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness, surrounded by loved ones. Raymond was a retired Master Sergeant for the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service and was a retired Restoration Specialist at the National Museum of the United States Air Force for 24 years. He was a valued member of the Air Force Orientation Group having served as treasurer, a dedicated member of the VFW Post 3283 and Cooties, American Legion Post 200, volunteer at the Dayton Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Dayton Community Blood Donor and was an avid camper and loved to travel. Raymond is survived by his wife & caregiver, Linda M.; son & best friend, Chad R. & his wife Amber Petrusch; sisters, Joann Demos (Nick), Virginia Jaques, Pauline Fras (Skee), Audrey Wardle; brother, Edward Petrusch; step-children, Jason Skusa, Tamara & Tony Cloud and their children, Kyle & Kayla; and a host of other relatives & friends. Funeral service with military honors 10:30 AM Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike with Pastors Steve Todd & Gary Quarles officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 PM with VFW Memorial Service at 5:30 PM. The family expresses a special thanks to Easter Seal Adult Day Care, Dayton Veterans Affairs & Miami Valley Hospital, ICU for their compassionate care. Memorial contributions may be made to National Institute of Neurological Disorders & Stroke, Financial Management Branch, Building 31 Room 8A34, 31 Center Dr. MSC2540, Bethesda, MD 20892-2540 in Raymond's memory.
