SHROYER, Donald L. "Don" Age 90 of Englewood, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Don was born in Dayton on March 3, 1928 to the late Arthur L. and Grace A. (Rosener) Shroyer. He was a 1946 graduate of Fairview High School and attended Miami University where he was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity. He was active in the Miami University Red-White Club. Don owned and operated Custom Lube and Oil, Mays-Shedd Sales Co. and Dayton Gulf T.B.A. Don was a member of Dayton Petroleum Club and a founding member of the Trotwood Optimist Club. He was also a member of Shiloh Church, Miami Valley Golf Club, Trotwood Masonic Lodge, and the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. Don founded the Dayton View Little League with a friend in the 1950's and played catcher on several amateur baseball teams. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Nancy, daughter Kaye (Mike) Wesche of Napoleon, OH, 2 sons Jeff (Sheryl) of Centerville and Tom Shroyer of Englewood, 4 grandchildren Laurel (David) Porter, John (Katie) Shroyer, Sara (Ed) Ferguson and Anna Wesche, 2 great granddaughters Gwyneth and Jillian. Don will be remembered as a Super Dad and Grandfather. Memorial services and a celebration of Don's Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 at Shiloh Church, 5300 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. by Rev. Jay McMillan. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Shiloh Church, SISCA, or Humane Society in Don's memory. Arrangements entrusted to Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home & Crematory.
