Gail was such an awesome lady. She was beautiful inside and out. I was blessed to have her as my sister in Christ and we often ran into each other serving in Church and the community. When we would talk, I would often say how proud I was of her. One day she said Rhonda, I am equally proud of you. You can't imagine what that meant to me. I am in awe of all she has accomplished and I will keep a piece of her spirit with me throughout the rest of my life. I will miss that sweet face, warm smile and humble spirit. To her wonderful family, I will be praying and mourning with you. She ran a great race in life. She left behind a wonderful legacy of excellence and a beautiful family that will keep her spirit alive. God has our wonderful Gail and I can picture her smiling. I am so thankful to God for Gail. Not often do you get an opportunity to meet, fellowship and love someone you admire. She is and was our blessing.

My deepest condolences! Gail hired me at Mead Data Central 24+ years ago. i had the privilege to work for her in three different divisions. Gail modeled a life of integrity, commitment, fairness, and faith. Gail lived an authentic life; one of the few who "walked her talk." Her imprint has been indelible, and lasting. Her legacy is the example she modeled as a friend, a mentor, a colleague, a leader, a mother, a grandma' and a loving spouse. i always appreciated her encouragement. Gail always made me feel like she was my #1 cheerleader. indeed, an angel on earth, and now so in heaven. My prayers of faith, love, and healing as the family celebrates Gail's life!

To Judge Littlejohn and Family. I will miss Gail so much. She was my backbone, friend, and inspiration when we worked together to get Judge Bill C. elected Judge at Dayton Municipal Court. Her fight for making a wrong right was my inspiration then and still is in me today. I love you all as my own family and her presence as the lovely lady whom she was will surely be missed. I know that she lives on in her beautiful children and grandchildren. Keep your heads up high and press onward, she is at Peace now. Hold on to those wonderful years of love and care that she gave her family and the support she always demonstrated to her family and to others who worked with her on any project. God will comfort your pain but the memories will last a lifetime. Stay strong !!

TO: Judge Littlejohn and Family. I met Gail over 40 yrs. ago when she was director of the Nursery School @ Second Baptist Church in Ypsilanti, MI.where my daughter attended. You, Judge Littlejohn came to Ann Arbor City Hall for a time, I believe. I worked in Human Rights for the City if you recall & I'm the sister of Cora Huguely. Gail was a terrific teacher and my daughter, Ursula's favorite teacher. There will be an empty chair at the holiday table this year, but it will be filled with loving memories. God Bless you & the entire family. She was unique, sweet, kind and loving. Cherish the memories of a beautiful person.

Gail was an abasolutely wonderful person in so many ways. I am just heartbroken that she is gone. She definitely made a huge impact on me by showing me that you can be an "executive" and yet still be a person of honesty, integrity and honor. She was also an example that you could work successfully in business and still be a faithful Christian. Lastly, she showed me that one could be a strong black woman and and couple that with warmth, caring and tenderness. We will miss that she is not on earth to bring her message to even more people and women in particular. May God give support and comfort to Bill and the family.

Dear Judge Litlejohn and family:
On behalf of my wife, Mrs. Deborah Payne-Essick, our sincere and personal condolences in the passing of Mrs. Littlejohn.
Personally, I don't know that I have the words to describe how much I respected her and appreciated her God given abilities.
Normally I don't contribute to election campaigns, but when "Doctor Littlejohn". as I always called her because she knew how to fix what was wrong, asked for support my hand went into my pocket without hesitation, because I just knew she and her "Kids First" team were "the ones."
Judge, thank you for all you and your wife have done. We all owe both of you for your service and unselfish commitment to this city and county.
Our prayers are with you and your family, your honor.
