Jean RIEGLE Obituary
News Death Notice
RIEGLE, Jean R. Born June 22, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at 6p.m. Preceded by William, whom she married in 1960; parents, Walter & Henrietta Reiniger; and family friend, Kevin Haber. Jean attended Miami U. in Oxford where she met Bill. After sending daughters off to school, Jean worked at WSU then Sinclair. Jean kept at her education, earning her BA from UD and Masters from Antioch. When Jean retired in 2012, she was working as an advisor at Sinclair. Jean's caring, funny and sweet personality touched people through her acceptance of many "adopted" adult kids. Her testimonies about both Al-Anon and her 10 year battle with ovarian cancer inspired people wherever Jean went. Survived by brother, John (Cheryl), daughters, Cathy, & Jenny (Doug); grandkids, Krista, Sean & Sophia; great grandkids, Brody & Skylar; her Serenity Sisters, and many loving friends and admirers. Gathering 1-2 pm Saturday January 23, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. with service to celebrate her life at 2:00.

So sorry to hear of Jean's passing. I've known her for years at Sinclair. Always a kind soul who loved life and those around her. May God Bless you and your family during this time.

Jean was the funniest and most upbeat person one could hope to know, even through all of the difficulties that life presented her. My condolences to Cathy and Jenny. Your mom was one of a kind.
