HAMBLIN, Sr., Arthur Ray 84, of Franklin, Ohio, died Monday, February 19, 2018 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was born on February 19, 1934 in Krypton, KY to Henry and Lenora Hamblin. During his 24 years of service in the United States Navy, Arthur was proud to have served his country from enlistment through the rank of CWO4. He was a cheerful man who took great joy in spending time with his children and grandsons, whom he adored. He was fond of telling tales of his life adventures and entertaining everyone he met with his witty humor and flirtatious smile. Arthur is survived by his daughter, Kimberley Sue Hamblin of Newport News, VA; son, Arthur Ray Hamblin, Jr. and his wife Heather of Williamsburg, VA; grandsons, Russell, William and Jackson; sisters, Nannie Faye Herd, Willie Mae Hamblin and Anna Louise Couch; along with a host of family, friends and neighbors who were faithfully there when he needed a hand. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Arthur was able to live independently and on his own terms, in Franklin, thanks to the love and support of his Watts nephews; Ambrose, Arthur, Gary Wayne and Larry and his neighbors; Barry, Jay and Kris. For that, his children express their deepest gratitude. A memorial reception will be held Sunday, February 25, 2018 between 1:00 and 4:00pm in the third floor banquet room of TLC Catering located above Pisanello's at 355 S. Main St., Franklin, OH 45005.

Took this picture last year when he first got this scooter. We will really miss seeing him on Maple Ave.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Arthur's family, sorry for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us that God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, may that bring you comfort in this time of sorrow.
