Michael PONDER

PONDER, Michael D. 1952-2018 Age 66, Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on December 1, 2018. He was born June 22, 1952 in Hamilton, Ohio to Charles and Edna (Marcum) Ponder. Mike was a 1970 graduate of Fairfield High School and served in the Ohio National Guard. He worked 30 years at Champion Paper Company and in 2017 retired from the maintenance department at the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati. Mike enjoyed drag racing, Nascar, boating at Lake Cumberland, and especially family gatherings and activities. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Holly Cromer Ponder; his sons, Jason of Brookville, Indiana, and Charlie (Amanda) of Milton, Kentucky; stepdaughter, Cat Bolen and Teri Belbot; grandchildren Zachariah (Ashley), Abbygail, and Gage Ponder; step-grandchildren, James and Joshua Bolen, George and Ge'aniya Evans; brothers Terry (Joyce) Ponder, Hamilton, Ohio, and Mark (Regina) Ponder, Trenton, Ohio; and Brenda McWhorter Hodges, the mother of his children; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Mike's life will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Hamilton Church of God, 1760 Millville Ave. Hamilton, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Matthew 25: Ministries or the charity of choice.
