I was so sorry to hear of Ralph´s passing. He and Sue were our wonderful neighbors for several years when we lived across the street from them. We will miss him and send prayers for his sweet wife Sue

I remember Ralph from NCR when I worked at Systemedia on Washington Church rd. He was with IT security and paid our IT department a visit with the incredibly alien notion that the application developers were not supposed to be able to access production systems directly or patch in production directly. We had to develop on development systems and release the software to be applied to production! Gasp! What a strange thing to us at the time :-) This was from early 90s and I have always remembered this was introduced to us by Ralph and this the way we manage software now.
