Kay Reuille Obituary

Kay L. Reuille, 78, Monroeville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, at Adams-Heritage. She was born in Allen County May 29, 1942, to the late Raymond T. and Mary M. (Declercq) Shellenbarger. She was united in marriage to Gerald T. Reuille Aug. 26, 1961, at St. Rose Catholic Church; he preceded her in death Jan. 4, 2021.
She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville, and enjoyed cleaning the church and helping as needed.
Kay was a 1960 graduate of Monroeville High School. She was a waitress/hostess at The Galley in Decatur for 32 years, retiring in 2010.
She enjoyed feeding her neighborhood animals, which included a large number of local birds. She also took pride in her flowers around the house. She made flower arrangements for weddings and baked cakes for family members for weddings, birthdays and numerous other special events.
Among survivors are three daughters, Rhonda K. (Kevin) Rumschlag of Fort Wayne, Jeanette R. (Don) Gerardot Jr. of Convoy, Ohio, and Janet R. (Rob) Wenger of Monroeville; sister, Patsy Frasure of Monroeville; brother, Rodger (Kay) Shellenbarger of Hoagland; seven grandchildren, Nichole Moehring, Austin Wenger, Nathan (Jessica) Rhymer, Spencer Gerardot, Lance Wenger, Logan Wenger and Preston Gerardot; nine great-grandchildren, Lexi Rhymer, Levi Lautzenheiser, Peyton Rhymer, Liam Lautzenheiser, Carson Wenger, Hunter Holman, Easton Moehring, Isaac Wenger and Wyatt Wenger; and six step-grandchildren, Dylan Moehring, Brittany Moehring, Alexis Moehring, Mason Castor, Lacy Castor and Calli Castor.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Rex Shellenbarger.
Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, private services were held and following cremation, burial was held at Monroeville Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Masses; or St. Rose Catholic School.
Arrangements handled by Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home-Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville.

I was very sad to hear of Kay’s passing. I believe her and my husband were cousins? I remember her as a great server at the Galley. Always smiling and happy to see you. My sympathy to all her family left.
