Theresa A. LeFlem

Theresa Angela LeFlem, 93, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 19, 2014 at the Ephrata Manor Retirement Community in Lancaster County. She was married for 21 years to her late husband, Jean LeFlem, who predeceased her in 1976.

Born in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Victoria Denest. Terry attended Wilmington High School, and was later employed in a variety of positions by Wilmington Dry Goods and John Wanamaker's Department Store. After retiring, Terry prided herself on staying active and was a daily volunteer for the children's school lunch program at St. Anthony's Catholic Church for 19 years until age 85.

Terry is survived by one brother, Joseph Denest, and by two daughters, Michelle and her husband William Stull, and Danielle and her husband Curtis C. Johnston; and a step-daughter, Susan Moran. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Justin Stull, Julian Stull, Jessica Stull, and Nina Moran. She was pre-deceased by Dominic Denest, John Denest, and Catherine Denest Ayers.

Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Terry's life at the CHARLES P. ARCARO FUNERAL HOME, 2309 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 10-11:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 2013 Gilpin Avenue in Wilmington, at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Cathedral Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations in Terry's memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eight Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY, 10001, or to a charity of your choice.
