Thomas Gentilucci Obituary

Thomas Gentilucci

AGE: 61 • Elkton, MD

Thomas Gentilucci, 61, of Elkton, MD and New Smyrna Beach, FL passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. A graduate of the University of Delaware, Tom was a chemical engineer and senior procurement manager with Siemens. Tom enjoyed many things but his family always came first. He was a devoted son, a wonderful husband, a loving dad and a great uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He shared his passion for life, his wisdom and his laughter (and what a laugh it was!) with all who knew him. His courage and dignity in the face of adversity were inspirational to everyone. There were no strangers in Tom's world and he will be missed by all. His sport was football and his team was the Eagles. Sundays will never be the same for anyone who ever watched a game with him.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents August and Elaine Gentilucci.

He is survived by the love of his life- his wife of 39 years, Cherita Duncan Gentilucci, their children Michael and Erica Gentilucci, his brothers Scott (Pam) and Mark (Carol) Gentilucci, his sister Laura (Tim) Brennan and all 10 of his favorite nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial for Tom on Friday, May 13, 10:30AM at the St. Joseph on the Brandywine Catholic Church, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville, DE. Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 12, from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA and from 9:30AM-10:15AM on Friday, May 13 at St. Joseph on the Brandywine. Interment will follow at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Tom's name can be made to Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, Development Department, 1513 Race Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102. Gifts will support Magee's Amputee Fund.
