Roy W. (Wilkie) Riddleberger, Jr.
Roy W. (Wilkie) Riddleberger, Jr., 83, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2013 at his home with his family near his side.
Roy was born in 1929 to the late Mary Emma Wooleyhand and Roy W. Riddleberger from Greensboro, MD. At age 11, Roy and his family moved to Wilmington where he graduated from H. Fletcher Brown Vo-Tech. He went on to serve in the Army during the Korean War and was a life member of the VFW in Wilmington where he had many friends. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service, then continued working for 26 years at the Marie Louise McHugh Estate. In his early years he enjoyed spending time crabbing and fishing. Roy was an avid Phillies Fan. He cherished family time spent with his wife and daughters and he was very fond of spending time with the Graham family where good times and laughter were always found with his best friend Sam. Roy would also enjoy reminiscing about many Seramone family gatherings.
Roy's family wants to thank the Phillips family for bringing much joy in his life with Cari and Ashley.
Roy was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Theresa Seramone Riddleberger and their daughters, Cathy Cochran and her husband Jeff, and Fay Elliott and her husband Dave; step-granddaughter, Jennifer Isom; many nieces, nephews, and close family members including Richard and Joseph (Desi) Seramone and Tom Garner.

Dear Theresa, Kathy & Fay
So sorry to read of Roy's passing. I always remember him as a happy, smiling guy who was always taking care of his lawn after working at GM all day and of course how he would chase us away from soaping car windows on mischief night! He was always polishig his car! :) I always loved sitting there talking with you both and babysitting the kids. I know your memories of Roy will help all of you thru this sad time. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

Theresa, Cathy and Fay (and Lynn) -
This message if from Suzanne and our girls, Amy and Michele.
I want you to know that Frank considered Roy as the best friend he ever had. Those two guys could have more fun discussing which way an electric meter turned or if the coffee cup handles were upside down. We had great times with you guys.
Love you,
Suzanne Williams
