John DiBrigida "JB"
John A. DiBrigida/(Bright), age 64, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in St. Francis Hospital.
John was born in Wilmington, DE on August 16, 1948, son of the late Anthony and Periena Marie (Cuttillo) DiBrigida/(Bright). He was known for enjoying life and living it to the fullest. He graduated from Wilmington High School in the 1960's, where he excelled at baseball. John was a huge sports enthusiast and passionately supported the New York Yankees and Philadlephia Eagles, two of his favorite teams. He was also an avid tennis player who enjoyed playing with his friends.
John was self-employed and well-known for co-ownership of A.J. Bright's, Inc. Apartment Buildings. He and his wife, Carol, also owned and operated Perry's Liquors in Wilmington for 8 years.
John was predeceased by his brother, Ray, in 2006. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Carol; brother-in-law, James Casey; nephews, Robert Casey and his wife Sherry, Joseph Casey, and Michael Casey; niece, Julie Smith; and a host of cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews from the DeBright, Casey, and Cuttillo families.
He will forever be remembered for his big heart and infectious smile by all those fortunate to have known him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4th and Bancroft in Wilmington, on Tuesday, February 19 at 12 pm. Entombment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the CHARLES P. ARCARO FUNERAL HOME, 2309 Lancaster Ave. in Wilmington, on Tuesday morning, prior to mass, from 10-11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the visiting nurses at St. Francis Hospital, 701 N. Clayton St., Wilmington, DE 19805 or to Compassionate Care Hospice, 5610 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808.

Carol,We all have fond memories of John,Most of mine are hilarious,,John would come in the salon to get his hair cut,There were days when I wasn't in the best of moods..Whatever was troubling me ,it would all be forgotten by the time John left.He could make you laugh in the worst situations...Carol you were an amazing wife,,Cherish the memories and many years you had together..He will be saddly missed..May God Comfort you at this trying time,,Love you Carol
