Aldon J. Handlin "Joe"

Age 89, died February 3, 2013 at Seasons Hospice surrounded by his loving family.

He proudly served with the 10th Infantry in the U.S. Army during World War II where he earned two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star Medal. He was extremely proud of his military service along with his Irish heritage.

Joe retired from DuPont in 1978 after many years of service and started Copy Craft, Inc. in 1981.

Joe was a founding member of Corpus Christi R.C. Church. He was a member of many organizations which include The Defiance Club, Knights of Columbus/St. Michael Council, and the VFW Stahl Post 30. He also loved to travel.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Reta Campbell Handlin; and son-in-law Anthony J. Kelleher, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Eileen M. (Joyce) Handlin; daughters, Kathleen Kelleher (Jimmy), Peggy Lingo (Chris Kara-Eneff); step-daughters, Karen Williams (Donald), Colleen Campbell (Donnie), Kelly Bogush (Nick), and Caroline Warren (Patrick); 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 901 New Rd., Elsmere on Saturday, February 9, at 10:30 am. Friends may call at the church from 9:30-10:30 am on Saturday morning. Interment with Military Honors in All Saints Cemetery, Newark.
