Barbara A. Luchini, age 74, of Newark, DE, surrounded by loving family, went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2016. Barbara adored her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, puzzle books and dining out with family and friends. Barbara cherished the friendships she made at Liberty Terrace.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Patricia Leech (John); grandchildren, Steffan Geanopoulos (fiancée, Hannah Jobst) and Kristopher Geanopoulos; sister, Ann Marie Hanovic; and her cat, Tootsie, whom she adored. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Langdon and Ellen Azzarito; and brother, Billy Connors.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Bible Fellowship Church, 808 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19702 from 10-11 AM followed by a service in celebration of Barbara's life at 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Hwy., New Castle, DE 19720. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Forgotten Cats, 4023 Kennett Pike, Ste. 422, Greenville, DE 19807 or www.forgottencats.org.
