Earl W. Agnew, Jr.

Earl W. Agnew, Jr., born August 19, 1952, passed away on February 17, 2013 at Christiana Hospital with his family by his side. Born and raised in Wilmington, he married his wife, Sharon on September 16, 1972. They then moved to Newark where they raised their two children, Chris and Mark.

While he was a mason and co-owner of Tober & Agnew Construction, he truly enjoyed his free time with his friends and family. He coached Little League for Newark National for both of his boys. He was a food and wine enthusiast and an avid golfer. While he loved to travel, he enjoyed many weekends at the family lake house at Lake Hauto near the Poconos.

Earl is survived by his wife, Sharon; and their 2 sons, Chris and his wife, Tracey of New York and Mark of Newark. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis; and his sister, Pauline.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 22 at 12:00 noon at Holy Family Church, Chestnut Hill and Gender Roads, Newark, DE. Burial will follow Mass in All Saints Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, February 21 from 5:00 to 8:00PM and again on Friday, February 22 from 10:00 to 11:00AM at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek.
