Mrs. Waters, wife of the late William Waters, went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2017, at Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital, Newark, Delaware. She leaves to cherish her precious memory: children, Leamond Waters, Sr. (Carol), Michael Waters, Gloria Bamgbola (Roberts), and Ophelia Waters; 2 sisters, Carolyn Williams and Maxine Judge; 1 brother, Kenneth Williams (Dean); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by Denise Stewart, Libby Belcher-Powell (James), Doretha Mosley, Robin Collins (Wayne), Malinda Fowler, and Mele Stallings, who were like her children; other relatives, and friends. Four children, preceded her in death, William Waters, Jr., Keith Waters, Jacklyn Alexander, and Stanford Avant.
Celebration of Life Service 11 am, Monday, January 30th, at Cedars Church of Christ, 511 Greenbank Road, Wilmington, DE 19808; viewing 9-10:45 am only. Interment Gracelawn.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there is a hope for our love ones lost in death can be reassuring.
