Marian Anna Walmsley Monaco, 86, of Seaford, Delaware, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Lifecare at Lofland Park in Seaford. Born in Trenton, NJ., she was the daughter of the late Marian James and Richard Walmsley.

She was the office manager at Chesapeake Utilities before she retired. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Seaford; member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4961; past president of Ladies Auxiliary Nanticoke Memorial Hospital; and a member of the Women of the Moose, Seaford Lodge.

She is survived by her son, Richard D. Monaco and his wife, Linda, of Seaford; three daughters, Donna E. Alexander and her husband, David, of Georgetown, DE; Toni Smith and her husband, Richard, of Hurlock, MD; and Sherry White and her husband, Wilson, of TN. She is also survived by a sister, Justilienna Beard and her husband, Kevin, of Seaford; as well as eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Domenick Monaco, in 2006; a brother, Richard Walmsley; and a sister, June Downes.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2 PM at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, High Street, Seaford. Rev. James Sipe will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Seaford Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 87, Seaford, DE 19973; or to Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 1728, 22759 Bridgeville Highway, Seaford, DE 19973. Arrangements are in the care of Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Seaford, Delaware.
