Neil Cooley
AGE: 90 • Ocean View
Neil W. Cooley (90) passed away peacefully Jan. 24, 2017 at Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation Center, Millsboro, DE. Born in Washington, DC, he graduated from Roosevelt Senior High, served in WWII in the U.S. Army Air Force in the Pacific Theater, married his high school sweetheart, Mary Lou Mainhall, and was a manager for both The Hecht Co. and Hechinger's before retiring to Delaware.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, and their children, Tom Cooley (Betsey), Debbie McNally (Michael), Patti Brittingham (Ron), and Jim Cooley (Gail), 15 grandchildren (plus their spouses), and 26 great-grandchildren.
Viewing from 11:00 am to noon and Mass of Christian Burial from noon to 1:00 pm will be held Monday, January 30, 2017, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Pkwy, Bethany Beach, DE 19930. Burial will be at the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE At 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church.
