Pamela A. Norman

Pamela A. Norman of Hockessin, DE, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 after a courageous battle with breast cancer since 2008.

Pam was born on February 25, 1953 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to the late Oscar L. Norman and Beverly A. Norman.

After a near fatal car accident in 1974, Pam pushed bravely through a long and painful recovery and devoted her life to working as a CNA at Foulk Manor North Nursing Home in Wilmington, DE for over 30 years. Pam took great pride in knowing that she helped others and cared for people. Her lively personality, strength and keen sense of humor - which she displayed up until the very end - touched many, many people.

In October, 2012, Pam fulfilled a long time wish to travel to Southern California and visit Hollywood and the Pacific Coast.

She is survived by her brother, William C. Norman and his wife, Wendy of Hockessin, DE, her nephew Dustin Norman of Irvine, CA, and her niece Taylor Norman of Boston, MA.

Pam will be missed by many including her loyal friends Pat Anker of Wilmington DE and Marcia Cornwell Ihnen of Arlington, VA. On Pam's behalf, her family would like to thank the Delaware Hospice Caregivers from North Wilmington, Silverado at Home Hospice Caregivers in Irvine, CA, and the staff and residents of Regal Heights Nursing Home in Hockessin DE, for their care, friendship and support.

Memorial Services will be held at Regal Heights Nursing Home at a date yet to be determined. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Crawfordsville, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to The Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE. 19713.
