Seona Margaret Knox Weir James, 88, a resident of Willow Valley Lakes Manor, Willow Street, PA since 1992 and formerly of Strasburg, PA and Wilmington, DE died at Hospice and Community Care, Mt Joy, PA on Saturday, June 15, 2013. She was the widow of Dudley S. James. Born in Glasgow, Scotland she was the daughter of the late John and Abigail Mason Weir. Seona served four and a half years in the British army during WWII in radar surveillance and plotting. She met her late husband in Wales, and two years later, following the war, move to the United States, reconnected with Dudley and married him. A homemaker, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Strasburg and the Strasburg Historical Society. Earlier in her life she volunteered for the Brownies, Girl Scouts, PTA, and as an aide with the North Wilmington School District for 10 years. Upon moving to Strasburg, she volunteered at the Strasburg-Heisler Library.

Surviving her are a daughter Sandra S. wife of Robert Fox of West Rutland, VT; a son Stuart W. James of Wilmington, DE; a granddaughter Rebecca Marker wife of Robert Marker; two sisters, Mary Millington of Orkney Island and Anne Railton of England.
