Carol was a fellow student in several of my graduate classes at Bryn Mawr College. A lovely, rather quiet and unassuming individual, she invariably impressed me with her brilliant comments in class. I believe she was already an accomplished educator and psychologist. She was thus very generous in sharing her experiences and insights.
As several have stated, her legacy will be carried forth in the Concept School. She will also hold a special place in the memory of her fellow classmates and professionals who admired and were inspired by her considerable accomplishments.
My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

I extend my sympathy to the family of Carol Tucker. She will be missed. She was a beacon of light in what seemed as a sea of darkness before my attendance at the Concept School. I was a former student of Carol Tucker during the years 1976 -78 and again in 1982-83 while at the Concept School. I remember Carol as my favorite teacher and headmaster in all my pre college school career. She was a very compassionate, mature, and well grounded person. In addition ,Carol was a very fair and balanced teacher who really cared about all her students and did not play any favorites with anybody. She guided us in the right direction. She instilled a can do confidence in all of us. She made sure the Concept School was a safe and fun learning environment. I feel the Concept School is my favorite school to this day thanks to Carol.
Her founding of The Concept School was a great service to me and many other students who did not fit in the impersonal social and academic hustle of public school or other so called college preparatory private schools. Due to her guidance, The Concept School was a fun and safe place while still learning the academics. The Concept School was a laid back, low pressure environment where everybody can be themselves . Carol encouraged us to accept every one as they are as well as accept ourselves. I remember all those fun field trips and outings that also broadened our minds and brought the class together. Work was actually fun at The Concept School. The school was in a very beautiful farm country setting which helped relieved my stress.
I hope the Concept School continues Carol Tucker's legacy as that makes the school unique.

Dr Tucker was an inspiration to many. The Concept School has provided a learning environment for many young people who didn't fit in the confines of "regular" education. Rest in peace Carol as you join your beloved Jack and Mark.

Dr. Carol Tucker's contribution to the lives of students who attended The Concept School was, and continues to be, unmeasurable. Their futures as self confident and effective citizens in their chosen fields are testaments to Dr. Tucker's vision when she founded the school. Those of us who had the privilege to work with her are grateful for her wise and caring leadership.
I send my condolences to Dr. Tucker's family and the staff and students of The Concept School.

Carol was a great friend as were the entire Getz family. My father and I would often spend an evening watching TV with her father Dr. Stanley Getz. Carol had a brilliant mind.

To all of Mrs. Tucker's family, you have my deepest sympathies. I knew her my entire life and I looked up to her and admired her so very much. She was my main teacher for my 4 high school years and I was lucky to have her. I know for a fact I learned more from her than any other teacher/professor in 16 years of education. When I began teaching I thought of her often and tried to be as good as she was. I hope you find comfort in the knowledge that she was so very admired and loved by so many. Peace.
