I met David about 4 years ago after I cornered him at an Early Stage East event, after some convincing he decided my business idea had some merit and helped me considerably as i developed my vision and strategy over the last 3 years. His energy and drive were particularly impressive, only outdone by his immeasurable passion for entrepreneurship. His counsel and candor will be sorely missed. Samara and Jared, we haven't met but i feel i know you both so well, your Dad was so proud of you both. Samara he often spoke about how you were following his footsteps by starting your career in accounting, he eyes would always light up when he spoke of you. Having recently lost my mum well before her time, I know the pain you feel and can only hope you can cherish your memories of your Dad. Please take solace in the knowledge that where there was pain there is now peace and David was simply a great guy.

Morris & Family,

My deepest condolences to you and the family. I remember when you would bring David to the store when he was 2 or 3 years old, and when I came to your house. He was a very happy boy and very well mannered.

Dear Morris and family,
You may not remember me, but I worked in your Deli way back in 1967 along with John Helm. We worked the night and weekend shifts. I must tell you that the experience of working for you was a pleasure and a teaching time. You taught me the value of serving with a smile and making sure the customer was happy. I'm sure your darling David learned all his skills from you. I am so very sorry for his passing and hope that your heart is comforted a little by all your wonderful memories of a son like David. All blessings and peace be with you.

I have known the Freschman family ever since I was a little girl. My Aunt Harriett and Uncle Eddie are best friends of David's mom and dad Ray and Morris. I love the Freschman family and my entire family including my dad Herman, send our love to all of you. David accomplished so much and was such a good son, husband, father and friend. May he rest in peace.

I'm an old friend of David. I grew up with David, we did Cub Scouts, played baseball, and neighborhood games and did other fun things. I'd like to pass on my sincere condolences to his family. And to his mother and father, Neil and to Iris.

David was a great guy, growing up. I loved and respected him. Later, in college, we lived in the same apartment building and became better friends. There was even a time when David protected me from being bullied.

David was a gentle and settling soul, who made those around him comfortable.

My prayers go out to your family.

Sincerely,
Kevin Limbers

My deepest sympathy to David's family. He was a neighbor across the back yard growing up. Later, he was a consulting accountant at McBride and Shopa for the company where I was controller, and later someone I ran into during the business plan contests at UD or at programs sponsored by CFA society. Always a positive and vibrant soul, and as I recall, looking for a company building consumer brands.

It was always a pleasure, you've passed far too soon, peace be with you.

I met David about 10 years ago through Early Stage East and was so taken by his energy and enthusiasm, as well as his wonderful way with people - all people, regardless of title or status. I am so saddened by this loss - no doubt David will be sorely sorely missed. My heart goes out to the Freschman family and I hope you are surrounded by lots of love and support to get you through this very dark time.

Condolences to Robin and the rest of the Freschman Family on David's passing. He was a great guy, and it was a pleasure for me to know David about 25 years. In fact, as I often told David, most recently when we had breakfast at Labor Day about 6 months ago, "I tell people I knew you David when you were 'just an accountant,' except -- you never were 'just an accountant'!" RIP, David

I will truly miss him and treasure so many memories together from South Carolina to Delaware. I am so happy that David and Robin came to my show in Delaware City last November. David and family always made me feel like I was the family entertainer and that I was the guy that he HAD to have at so many of his parties and events. I did a USO show right after 9/11 in Dover and with a packed house, David and family, of course, somehow managed to get in the front row when I got on the stage smiling and cheering. His smiling face in the front row is the one that sits in my mind most prominently. I wish Robin, Samara and Jared all the strength in the world and know that my love and prayers attend you today and always. XO Rest in peace, David.

David went on to do many great things and touch many lives in a very positive way. I will always remember him a very special part of our " family of friends" at the University of Delaware. Bold, brash and fun. Everything you'd want in an "old college pal" . We will miss you Dave. Our deepest sympathies and love to your family.

I am deeply saddened by this news and extend deepest condolences to Robin, Samara, Jared and all of his family and friends. Dave was a true visionary in every sense of the word. He saw opportunity where others might not, and he had the personality and will to make it happen. We had a lot of fun working on Early Stage East in the early years, talking about deals and entrepreneurs, and life in general. He was such a great friend and mentor to so many in our community, and I know he will be missed. His legacy will live on and may his memory be a blessing to his family.

David's passing leaves me silent, empty and deeply saddened. He was always an upbeat vibrant beacon of enthusiasm. I recall his excitement as he spoke with me about entering the VC business after leaving AA while at McBride Shoppa. Particularly the early stage end where he wanted to help anyone fulfill and share a dream. There are so few with such unbridled energy and all we can hope is that we can somehow learn from him and help fill this void in our own ways.

My sincerest sympathy for David's family and strength to carry on and beyond to live life to its fullest as he showed all of us.

God Bless You David

I am deeply saddened by David's passing. David was an incredibly inspiring force to the early stage community and his absence will be significantly noticed. David spoke to me at every event I attended and never failed to leave the conversation without imparting wisdom to me.

I wish David's family my most sincere condolences. I hope that the knowledge that David will be positively remembered by the uncountable plethora of people he helped offers some comfort in that his memory and legacy will never end.

May God comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Words fail me. I just heard about his illness when I was at shul on Saturday from a mutual friend. He was so very full of life and such a force in the early stage community that I still can't wrap my mind around this.

Almost since the day I started in the M&A world, Dave was there. For decades we have steered parallel courses and it never even occurred to me that he wouldn't continue to be there as a star in the venture community in this region as long as I was working in mine. I once went to a VC conference in NYC on the spur of the moment and, as I entered the room, I heard Dave call out to me with "Delaware is in the house". As usual, we had a great discussion and a great time. He really and truly was everywhere.

I wish David's family solace, comfort and strength in their time of mourning and beyond. His light will not be dimmed and the people who he met and inspired will always remember him and honor his memory.

May his name be for a blessing and an inspiration to all who knew and loved him.

Dave will be missed by so many people he touched in his life. Whether it be through his kind heart and big personality, or it be through his direct communication and his smart thinking, he cared about people and helped them in many ways. I know I will miss Dave as he helped me in the early stages of building a business. But also, I will miss him as a friend whom I would see on occasions...where there was not one time I could not depend on Dave for some quick conversation and wit. May GOD be with Dave and his family in this sad time.
