Adam Gregory Bellen Obituary
Adam Gregory

Bellen

Adam Gregory Bellen, age 31, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Hockessin, DE, passed away on July 14, 2012.

Adam was a graduate of Archmere Academy and Shippensburg University. During his college years and for several years after college, Adam worked at several restaurants in Lewes, DE. He was a sales person for West Park Imports, as well as United Distributors of Delaware.

He was a Philadelphia sports phanatic as an Eagles' season-ticket holder, and he enjoyed finding time to catch a Phillies game. Adam's passion for fishing, especially as an avid deep-sea fisherman, resulted in his catch of the first White Marlin in Lewes, DE, for the year 2012. With his outgoing personality and contagious smile, Adam spread cheer among those around him. His family and friends were very important to him and he will be greatly missed by all.

Adam was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Bellen. He is survived by his mother, Rosalba Bellen of Claymont, DE; sisters Melissa Cohen (Will) of Garnet Valley, PA, and Julia Seligman (John) of Burlington, VT; brother, Matthew of Boca Raton, FL; nonna Lina Dallagiacoma of Denver, CO; and nephews Evan and Andrew Cohen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 25, at 10:30 am, at Saint Joseph on the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville, DE. There will be an hour of personal remembrance preceding the Mass. Burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Ashland, DE, will be followed by a luncheon where the family will visit with friends and relatives.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a contribution in memory of Adam to The Archmere Academy Minority Scholarship Fund, 3600 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, or to the Children's Beach House Child Development Center, Ma-Ran Endowment, 100 W. 10th Street, Suite 411, Wilmington, DE 19801.
